Handmade Ceramic Spoon Rest Small (Light Blue)
This beautiful handmade, wheel-thrown spoon rest is finished with a glossy light blue stoneware glaze.
This food safe piece has a diameter of approximately 11cm and a height of approximately 2cm. This wonderful piece can be used resting a spoon whilst cooking or holding a used teabag, preserving your worktop.
All of our work is hand thrown in our own studio in Devon.
As each piece is unique, due to the glaze, form thrown and finish, there may be slight variations in each spoon rest from the picture.
We aim to make pottery that is inspired by nature for our customers and help connect them with the natural world. Our careful material selection ensures that each piece carries a unique story. This glaze is part of our moorland range and is inspired by own home town in the heart of Dartmoor.
We take great care to ensure all of our work is environmentally friendly. We recycle all of our clay as well as fire in ultra-efficient kilns to reduce energy. Orders are packaged using cardboard boxes and wood wool or corn starch packing peanuts to reduce our impact on the environment.
Our spoon rests are made from stoneware clay, bisque fired and are then glazed and re-fired to 1260 degrees centigrade. This makes them highly robust and dishwasher safe, although with all handmade ceramics, hand washing is recommended.
